Online WordPress Class

These are strange times we find ourselves in. Even to us here at gooWee, who are used to working from home, nothing feels normal about this situation. We are used to getting out into our community, the bedrock of our existence, on a regular basis. Not being able to attend a networking happy hour or meet a client for a cup of coffee is a strange reality indeed. But we do count ourselves as lucky and feel quite grateful that we are able to sustain our work lives from home.

We feel driven, as always, to find ways to give back, and in normal times one way we do that is by teaching classes on the technologies we use. For the last year, we’ve been teaching free classes on WordPress, hosted in local libraries and the like. And we’d like to keep doing that. More so than ever, this feels like the kind of thing the world needs right now, people helping to enable other people to succeed.

Gathering in a classroom setting is obviously not an option, but we’re not going to let that hold us back. So we’ve decided to hold a class over Zoom, hosted by the Louisville Public Library.

This will be an introductory course, so no prior web development experience is required. This series is intended for small business owners or individuals that are on a budget and need a simple web presence, but all are welcome!

The class will be held Monday, May 4th at 11am. Just visit this page to register. We hope to see you online!
