It’s February and love is in the air!

Whether you’re really into Valentines Day or you think its a manufactured Hallmark holiday, it’s really important to take some time every once in a while to recognize and reflect on the people and things you love. This Valentines day, I will no doubt go on a romantic date with my lovely wife and there will be no shortage of hugs, kisses, and sweets for my beautiful daughter. But I also wanted to reflect on the many other things in my life that I love and that bring me joy on a daily basis.

I feel very grateful for and absolutely love my career and my business. This is a big deal for me because just three years ago, this isn’t something that I was able to say. Before changing careers, I was in a rut, depressed, and miserable with my job. Now I wake up in the morning and I’m excited about my work and enjoy every line of code that I write. And while there have been many lessons learned, as well as some sweat, blood, and tears that have gone into our business, I absolutely love gooWee.

Entrepreneurs start businesses because they want to build something, because they are passionate about something, and because they love what they do. But running a business isn’t easy, and while you’re on that emotional rollercoaster, it’s important to take a step back and remember why you started this adventure to begin with.

So this month, Ian and I are doubling down on our efforts to provide gooWee some tender loving care. We have already started a search for a sales contractor to help keep the clients coming, we are considering a new logo to improve our branding, we are organizing files, updating contracts, and dusting off some old ideas that we had in the past that we never got around to implementing.
